A Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Setúbal (ESTSetúbal), pertencente ao Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal (IPS), recebe, no próximo dia 17 de Setembro, a 1ª Conferência Internacional de Setúbal sobre Energia e Sustentabilidade.
O evento, que será organizado em parceria entre o Centro de Investigação em Energia e Ambiente do IPS (CINEA – IPS) e a Agência de Energia e Ambiente da Arrábida (ENA), pretende ser um espaço para a troca de ideias e debates sobre diferentes pontos de vista acerca das temáticas da Energia e da Sustentabilidade.
Esta primeira edição da Conferência Internacional de Setúbal sobre Energia e Sustentabilidade irá contar com a apresentação de vários projectos de investigação desenvolvidos pelo CINEA – IPS (CGF4Cheese, Ostraqual, RFGAS e FURNACE), assim como iniciativas desenvolvidas a nível europeu (TESSE2be e SCORES).
A conferência traz, igualmente, até à cidade de Setúbal um conjunto de investigadores e especialistas em diversas áreas, e que estão comprometidos com diversos projectos de investigação, nomeadamente no âmbito da energia geotérmica. O envolvimento nestas iniciativas é também uma realidade à uma escala regional e local, o que permite uma maior abrangência do encontro, que, de acordo com o comunicado oficial, “propõe uma reflexão sobre a importância estratégica das novas soluções e tecnologias de produção de energia e seu armazenamento, tendo em vista, não só a optimização dos recursos locais, como também o desenvolvimento de um tecido industrial e empresarial com elevado potencial de competitividade e inovação”.
