A Knauf Insulation alarga a utilização do aglutinante natural Ecose Technology à lã mineral de rocha, um dos principais materiais, em conjunto com a lã de vidro, para isolamento térmico e acústico em edifícios.
Esta biotecnologia inovadora de resina, livre de fenóis e formaldeídos, é uma referência na construção portuguesa desde a sua criação em 2009, até agora apenas aplicável à lã de vidro. Agora, após anos de desenvolvimento e pesquisa, a Ecose Technology, a primeira solução sustentável de isolamento para edifícios, já está presente nos vários produtos de lã mineral da Knauf Insulation Iberia.
“Depois de aplicar com sucesso a Ecose Technology à lã de vidro durante a última década, queríamos dar um passo adiante para melhorar o desempenho térmico, acústico e de proteção contra incêndio das casas portuguesas. O resultado não poderia ser melhor”, reconheceu Oscar del Rio, diretor geral da Knauf Insulation Iberia, durante o anúncio do lançamento do novo produto.
A Ecose Technology é conhecida pelas suas qualidades ambientais, uma vez que 85% da sua produção vem de materiais sustentáveis. Além de reduzir a pegada ecológica, melhora a qualidade do ar interior das habitações, tornando-o o material com melhor cotação para conseguir selos ambientais Breeam, Well, Leed ou Verde.
Para Oscar Del Rio, “o desenvolvimento da Ecose Technology está ligada à evolução do Knauf Insulation e já é uma marca que sustenta o nosso compromisso com a sustentabilidade e a eficiência energética no setor de construção”.
