Portugal foi, a nível europeu, o país que maior crescimento teve, entre 2017 e 2018, no mercado de ventiloconvectores. De acordo com o Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI), o gabinete de estatísticas europeu para o mercado AVAC e refrigeração, Portugal registou um aumento de 40 % nas vendas desses equipamentos, entre os anos de 2017 e 2018, perfazendo, em vendas, um total de 15 800 unidades.
Ainda segundo do documento do EMI, que recolheu dados relativamente às vendas em 2018 na Europa, Médio Oriente e África, baseando-se em informações recolhidas junto de um leque bastante alargado de fabricantes da indústria, a nível europeu o mercado manteve-se praticamente inalterado, com um total de 1,35 milhões de unidades vendidas, muito por culpa da Turquia e da Rússia, que decresceram 24,9 % e 7,1 %, respectivamente. No entanto, a nível da União Europeia, houve um aumento de quase 5 %, com Espanha (13,1 %) e Reino Unido (6,5 %) a destacarem-se.
Os modelos cassete e parede, assim como as unidades a 4 tubos, foram os modelos com mais saída a nível europeu. Ainda assim, o aumento sentido entre 2017 e 2018 nestes modelos não foi suficiente para destronar o líder de mercado, que continua a ser o segmento de modelos de 2 tubos.
